History of the Jig-Bone Grips (as told to me by Billy Tinny - Collector):

In the Late 1870's, This Style Grip Was Called the "Double Cut" or "Twice Cut'.
This Referred to (1) Cutting the Stag Slab to Fit the Revolver & (2) Cutting the "Jig" Pattern.
It Was Then Said to Be "Jigged".

Hollywood Made the "Jigged" Style Grips Famous as Its Cowboy Stars
Used Them From 1920 to 1950's in Their "B" Grade Movies.
"Jigged" Grips Were the Standard on All Cap Pistols.
