There Are Early Models Made in Germany 1931 – 1940 & Models Made in France at Manurhin. 

Models Were Made in France By German Direction, When Germany Occupied France 1940-1944
& Later When Russia Took Over E. Germany, Up to About 1978 – 1979 (Some Say Until 1986).
Firearms Became PPK/S in 1968 With the U.S. Guncontrol Act

Interarms Imported Models From France (Pre-War Style) Until About 1978-1979
All Said "Made in Germany."

Interarms Manufactured Models From About 1978-1979 To 1999.
Interarms Models May Say "Made in Germany" or "Made in the U.S."
Some Were Made in the U.S., But Finished in Germany.

Smith & Wesson Manufactured Models 2002-2010.

The Newer Walther Arms Models (Walther USA) 2013 to Current.
